Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Damien Hirst could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Beautiful Mickey changed hands for USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,665.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Damien Hirst konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Beautiful Mickey für USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.665,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
