Despite a disappointment, a good price for Florian Schmidt
In September 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Hold) 5 by Florian Schmidt for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,939.18). This price was achieved in the auction First Open/NYC at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Untitled (Hold) 5 is the most expensive artwork by Florian Schmidt that we have observed at auction so far.
