Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Monster, from the series A Little Moby Dick in All of Us by Hernan Bas was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2017. The auction ended at the price of USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,791.50), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hernan Bas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bats and the Barn Bridge in November last year with an auction result of HKD 11,250,000.00 (€ 1,396,033.13).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Monster, from the series A Little Moby Dick in All of Us von Hernan Bas kam im September 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 50.791,50) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hernan Bas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bats and the Barn Bridge im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.250.000,00 (€ 1.396.033,13).
