Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Reflections B.B.V. by Hugo Demarco was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,764.93). Admittedly, works by Hugo Demarco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Relief À Deplacement Continuelle in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,059.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Reflections B.B.V. von Hugo Demarco kam im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.764,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hugo Demarco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Relief À Deplacement Continuelle im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 43.059,13).
