Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Baldessari could be acquired at Christies in New York in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD auction, the work Life's Balance (with Money) changed hands for USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,374.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Baldessari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Commissioned Painting: A Painting By Edgar Transue in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,517,000.00 (€ 1,845,307.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
