Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work La Serie La Luz Que Se Apaga (The Fading Light) by José María Sicilia. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,003.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José María Sicilia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fleur Blanc in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 117,913.83).
