Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reina Mariana by Manolo Valdés was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. The price achieved of USD 150,000.00 (€ 123,011.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Manolo Valdés have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Infanta Margarita in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 538,602.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reina Mariana von Manolo Valdés wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 123.011,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manolo Valdés auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Infanta Margarita im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 457.250,00 (€ 538.602,24).
