Auction result misses estimated price range
In September last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Mark Francis for GBP 630.00 (€ 717.00). This price was achieved in the auction Evening & Day Editions at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Francis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Symbiosis (Mesh) in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 41,228.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mark Francis für GBP 630,00 (€ 717,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Francis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Symbiosis (Mesh) im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 41.228,09).
