This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michaël Borremans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Girl With Duck in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,045,000.00 (€ 2,860,444.21).
