Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Carriage House I (Late Winter); Carriage House II (Spring) (Hansen 243-4) by Michael Mazur for USD 1,195.00 (€ 1,209.64). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Mazur - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pond Edge IV, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,407.55).
