In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Candelabro con 22 by Mimmo Paladino. The auction ended at the price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,326.25), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mimmo Paladino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vespero in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 216,750.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Candelabro con 22 von Mimmo Paladino zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 42.326,25) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mimmo Paladino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vespero im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 216.750,00.
