Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Infinity Blue by Perle Fine was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000 - 18,000, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500 (€ 8,029) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Perle Fine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Polestars and Popsicles, which sold at auction in September this year for USD 25,200 (€ 25,759).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Infinity Blue von Perle Fine wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000 – 18.000 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500 (€ 8.029) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Perle Fine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Polestars and Popsicles beobachtet, die im September diesen Jahres für USD 25.200 (€ 25.759) versteigert wurde.
