Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Underground by Peter Howson was auctioned at Phillips in London in September 2019. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,641.91) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Howson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Three Faces Of Eve, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 300,500.00 (€ 382,249.13).
