In the Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash auction, the work Claude Renoir, la tête baissée (Claude Renoir, Head Lowered) sold for USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,542.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet in May last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 22,770,478.05).
