Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash, which included the work Femme couchée (tournée à gauche) (Reclining Woman (Turned to the Left)) (Delteil/Stella 15), 1906 by Pierre-Auguste Renoir. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,771.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet in May last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 22,770,478.05).

Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme couchée (tournée à gauche) (Reclining Woman (Turned to the Left)) (Delteil/Stella 15), 1906 von Pierre-Auguste Renoir zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.771,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre-Auguste Renoir erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.435.000,00 (€ 22.770.478,05).
