Upper estimate price exceeded by 64 %.
The work Ochre by Richard Diebenkorn was sold in the Contemporary Edition auction at Christies in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 32,760.00 (€ 29,532.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Diebenkorn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Recollections of a Visit to Leningrad in November this year with an auction result of USD 46,410,000.00 (€ 42,546,754.68).
