In August this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash, which included the work Solid Vision by Robert Longo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,952.30), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Longo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Leo) in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,575,000.00 (€ 1,212,657.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash durch, in der auch die Arbeit Solid Vision von Robert Longo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 2.952,30) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Longo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Leo) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.575.000,00 (€ 1.212.657,84).
