Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work El Perro Mueve la Cola by Rufino Tamayo was sold in the Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD auction at Christies in New York in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,276.00 (€ 3,013.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rufino Tamayo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work America in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 6,802,500.00 (€ 5,358,830.94).
