Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (PF.065, Succulent) by Ruth Asawa was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 12,879.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruth Asawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (S.387, Hanging Three Separate Layers of Three-Lobed Forms) in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 4,095,000.00 (€ 3,716,308.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (PF.065, Succulent) von Ruth Asawa kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 12.879,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruth Asawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (S.387, Hanging Three Separate Layers of Three-Lobed Forms) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.095.000,00 (€ 3.716.308,19).
