Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le dernier venu de la dernière planète (The Last Arrival from the Last Planet), from La conquête du cosmos II (The Conquest of the Cosmos II) by Salvador Dalí was sold in the Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash auction at Bonhams in New York in August this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,792.00 (€ 1,653.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvador Dalí achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Paul Éluard in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 13,481,250.00 (€ 15,879,784.58).

Die Arbeit Le dernier venu de la dernière planète (The Last Arrival from the Last Planet), from La conquête du cosmos II (The Conquest of the Cosmos II) von Salvador Dalí wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.792,00 (€ 1.653,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salvador Dalí erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Paul Éluard im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.481.250,00 (€ 15.879.784,58).
