Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work No. 1, from Barcham Green Portfolio by Sherrie Levine. The price achieved of USD 945.00 (€ 851.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sherrie Levine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fountain (After Marcel Duchamp) in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 962,500.00 (€ 778,469.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit No. 1, from Barcham Green Portfolio von Sherrie Levine zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 945,00 (€ 851,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sherrie Levine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fountain (After Marcel Duchamp) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 962.500,00 (€ 778.469,75).
