Upper estimate price exceeded by 28 %.
The work Paris-Tokyo (6 works) by Victor Vasarely was sold in the Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash auction at Bonhams in New York in August this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,542.76), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
