Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work An Ideal For Living by Adam Helms was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,655.06). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Helms - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled Portrait (10), which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,847.96).
