Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Characters in the Studio II, from Regards sur la peinture by Pierre Lob by Alberto Giacometti was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,200.00 (€ 3,028.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000.00 (€ 128,511,006.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Characters in the Studio II, from Regards sur la peinture by Pierre Lob von Alberto Giacometti kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 3.028,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000,00 (€ 128.511.006,00).
