Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Orange Ciel by Alexander Calder. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,096.00 (€ 3,875.85), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Calder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poisson volant (Flying Fish) in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 25,925,000.00 (€ 19,006,598.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orange Ciel von Alexander Calder zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.096,00 (€ 3.875,85) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Calder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poisson volant (Flying Fish) im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.925.000,00 (€ 19.006.598,24).
