Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples Summer Splash, which included the work Committee 2000 by Andy Warhol. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,400.00 (€ 20,268.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
