Auction result well in line with expectations
The work One Plate, from 25 Cats Named Sam and One Blue Pussy by Andy Warhol was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in May this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,547.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
