In September last year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Singularity by Antony Gormley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,886.40), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Gormley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Case for an Angel I in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Singularity von Antony Gormley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.886,40) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Gormley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.296.250,00 (€ 6.038.761,70).
