Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Betye Saar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Her Story in May this year with an auction result of USD 315,000.00 (€ 295,663.60).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.303,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Betye Saar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Her Story im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 315.000,00 (€ 295.663,60).
