In June 2008 Christies in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Dawn I by Blair Hughes-Stanton. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 1,027.03), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Blair Hughes-Stanton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bathers in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,988.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dawn I von Blair Hughes-Stanton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 1.027,03) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Blair Hughes-Stanton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bathers im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 8.988,80).
