Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Kew, from Veils (H4-6) by Damien Hirst was auctioned at Phillips in London in January this year. It achieved a price of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 15,731.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kew, from Veils (H4-6) von Damien Hirst kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 15.731,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
