Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Kew, from Veils (H4-6) by Damien Hirst for GBP 6,350.00 (€ 10,627.73). This price was achieved in the auction Evening & Day Editions at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
