This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Danielle Orchard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Bathers in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 287,500.00 (€ 254,717.82).
