Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shut Up by David Shrigley was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,048.00 (€ 5,101.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by David Shrigley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (It's OK) in March last year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,754.80).
