Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Motor City Series 6 by Ed Ruscha was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,920.00 (€ 16,956.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).
