Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Question & Answer, from Etc.; If; South; Question & Answer by Ed Ruscha. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,844.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).
