Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self-Portrait by Francesco Clemente was auctioned at Christies in New York in May last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,720.00 (€ 25,831.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Clemente achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fourteen Stations, No. XI in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,733,296.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Francesco Clemente kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 25.831,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Clemente erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fourteen Stations, No. XI im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.860.000,00 (€ 1.733.296,06).
