Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ossipee, from Eccentric Polygons by Frank Stella was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in May this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,547.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Stella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Point Of Pines in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 28,082,500.00 (€ 25,188,357.70).

Die Arbeit Ossipee, from Eccentric Polygons von Frank Stella wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.547,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Stella erzielen.
