Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work WLID by Frank Stella was auctioned at Christies in New York in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,033,200.00 (€ 969,776.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Stella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Point Of Pines in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 28,082,500.00 (€ 25,188,357.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit WLID von Frank Stella kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.033.200,00 (€ 969.776,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Stella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Point Of Pines im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.082.500,00 (€ 25.188.357,70).
