Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Georges Braque could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Bass (Vallier 7) changed hands for USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,705.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Braque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage À La Ciotat in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 15,845,000.00 (€ 12,199,722.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Braque konnte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Bass (Vallier 7) für USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.705,65) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Braque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage À La Ciotat im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.845.000,00 (€ 12.199.722,82).
