Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bent Stencil (Fragment According to What) by Jasper Johns was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,188.57). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jasper Johns achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Small False Start in November last year with an auction result of USD 55,350,000.00 (€ 53,618,134.26).
