Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hinged Canvas, from Fragment-According to What Series by Jasper Johns was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of USD 5,376.00 (€ 5,087.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jasper Johns achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Small False Start in November last year with an auction result of USD 55,350,000.00 (€ 53,618,134.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hinged Canvas, from Fragment-According to What Series von Jasper Johns kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.376,00 (€ 5.087,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jasper Johns erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Small False Start im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.350.000,00 (€ 53.618.134,26).
