Upper estimate price exceeded by 62 %.
In August last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples Summer Splash, which included the work 6 plates from Album 21 (6 works) by Joan Miró. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,813.71), 62% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
