Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples Summer Splash, which included the work Hommage à Hélion by Joan Miró. The price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,433.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
