The work Nocturne by Joan Miró was sold in the Prints & Multiples Summer Splash auction at Bonhams in New York in August last year. It achieved a price of USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,967.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Nocturne von Joan Miró wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples Summer Splash bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.967,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Miró erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peinture (Étoile Bleue) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.561.250,00 (€ 29.174.436,97).
