Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Throwing Three Balls in the Air to Get a Straight Line (Best of Thirty-Six Attempts) by John Baldessari was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in January this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,048.00 (€ 6,864.57), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Baldessari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Commissioned Painting: A Painting By Edgar Transue in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,517,000.00 (€ 1,845,307.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Throwing Three Balls in the Air to Get a Straight Line (Best of Thirty-Six Attempts) von John Baldessari wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert.
