The work Pasitea, from A Book of Cats by Foujita was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August this year. It achieved a price of USD 1,216.00 (€ 1,121.87), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Foujita achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La fête d'anniversaire in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 7,096,250.00 (€ 8,002,380.76).

Die Arbeit Pasitea, from A Book of Cats von Foujita kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.216,00 (€ 1.121,87) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Foujita erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La fête d'anniversaire im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.096.250,00 (€ 8.002.380,76).
