This artwork by Louise Nevelson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. In the Contemporary Art Day auction, the work Dawn'S Wedding Feast, Column Vi sold for USD 529,000.00 (€ 360,157.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Nevelson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dawn's Landscape XLIII, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 1,159,200.00 (€ 1,122,929.38).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Louise Nevelson erzielte im November 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day wurde die Arbeit Dawn'S Wedding Feast, Column Vi für USD 529.000,00 (€ 360.157,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louise Nevelson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dawn's Landscape XLIII beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 1.159.200,00 (€ 1.122.929,38) versteigert wurde.
