This artwork by Lynne Drexler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Blues sold for USD 327,600.00 (€ 307,490.14) - well above the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lynne Drexler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Herbert's Garden in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,397,819.40).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lynne Drexler erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Blues für USD 327.600,00 (€ 307.490,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lynne Drexler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Herbert's Garden im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.397.819,40).
