The work La Maine Bleue by Man Ray was auctioned at Bonhams in June this year. It achieved a price of GBP 896.00 (€ 1,042.79), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Man Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 in May last year with an auction result of USD 12,412,500.00 (€ 11,566,955.55).

Die Arbeit La Maine Bleue von Man Ray kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 896,00 (€ 1.042,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Man Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.412.500,00 (€ 11.566.955,55).
